Flowers of Kunzea Ambigua

Kunzea (Kunzea ambigua) is a unique Australian aromatherapy oil. The common names for this plant of tick bush and poverty bush don’t do justice to this beautiful Australian native with its prolific white spring flowers that really put on a show. From the leaves and flowers comes an exceptional and gentle aromatherapy oil.

Constituents: Alpha-pinene, cineole and globulol/viridiflorol.

Actions: Anti-bacterial; anti-fungal; anti-rheumatic; anti-arthritic; anti-inflammatory; anxiolytic; calmative; analgesic; disinfectant; relaxant.

Aroma: herbaceous, eucalyptus

Uses: Useful for temporary relief of arthritis pain, stress and mild anxiety for relief from symptoms of colds. Skin conditions, including insect bites, eczema, dermatitis, rash, tinea, chilblains, and minor burns. Apparently very good for gout and to prevent bruising of skin after trauma.

Applications: inhalant; bath; topical applications in massage or creams

Safety: None known, Patch test advised due to possibility of the oil being a skin irritant.
